French Bulldogs page

Henri, Pearl and Bunty

After deciding we would like a French Bulldog and waiting for nearly two years, June 1999 saw the first Frenchie (Zoe) arrive at Mossport . Three years later we collected Henri.  In July 2003 Bunty arrived home, followed in January 2004 by Henri's half sister Pearl.

January 2007 saw two new additions to the family, Louis and Ami.  In March 2008 Bunty and Louis' daughter was born here at Mossport, her name is Mimi, go to the News page where you can see photos of her from birth, new photos are added weekly, so watch her grow.

All of the family are below, click on the links at the bottom of the page to be taken to the Boys or Girls page where you can see their photos, pedigrees and read about their show news.  All of our Frenchies are shown successfully at both Championship and Open Show level.  Go to the Show Reports page where you'll be able to read a small selection of Judges Critiques taken from the dog press (Dog World and Our Dogs).

All of our dogs live with us in the house and are much loved members of the family.

Come back again soon as the pages are updated regularly.

Beware of Puppy Farmers

What is a Puppy Farmer ?

A Puppy Farmer generally is everything a Responsible Breeder is not.

A Puppy Farmer generally deals with and has several different breeds on the premises.

A Puppy Farmer generally does not care for the welfare of the stock bred or reared at the establishment.  He breeds purely for financial gain.

A Puppy Farmer generally does not care about the suitability or compatibility of the dog and bitch to be mated.

A Puppy Farmer generally will mate the unfortunate bitch every season until she is beyond the age of producing puppies, whereupon she will be discarded.

A Puppy Farmer generally does not care about the temperament of the puppies subsequently born.

A Puppy Farmer generally cannot or will not let you see the parents of the puppies offered for sale.

A Puppy Farmer generally will take the puppies away from their mother, well before they are mature enough.

A Puppy Farmer generally will not let you see how the animals are bred or the conditions in which the puppies live.

A Puppy Farmer generally may claim that the puppy is "Registered" although:

A Puppy Farmer generally will be unable to offer Kennel Club Registration.

The Puppy Buyer should make themselves aware of the difference.

A Puppy Farmer generally will be very happy to take your money,

A Puppy Farmer generally will be equally unhappy, to offer sound advice, or take the puppy back if there are subsequent problems with the puppy.

Please speak to a Responsible Breeder before you decide to buy your new puppy.
